2002-2005 BMW 325i.

The BMW 3 Series is a German automaker, BMW, since May 1975. The BMW 3 Series is the success of the 2002 coupe and has been produced in 5 incarnations and no fewer than 5 different models.

The first generation (E21) is only available in the form of a 2-door sedan. At the start of the launch, the BMW M10 engine was available only 4 cylinder. In 1977, BMW added a 6 cylinder M20 engine.

For this generation the BMW 3 series is not only made in the form of a 2-door Coupe, but also comes in the form of a 4-door Sedan, Conventional or Cabriolet with a roof that can be opened, and a Station wagon or Touring. The high-capable sports model named M3 was present in 1986. The BMW M3 is a formidable car for touring races, and also participates in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and rally championships in Europe. M3 won the Tour de Corse WRC in 1987.

This is the first 3 series BMW officially sold in Indonesia, the 318i Sedan. The initial model used the M10 engine, while the facelift model that was present in 1989 used the M40 engine.

BMW 3 Series Sedan E36
This is a very successful and fun model to drive. First launched in Germany in 1991, and entered the market including Indonesia and the United States for the 1992 model.

This generation presents a new body shape, the 3-door Hatchback called the 3 Series Compact.

Models available in Indonesia are: a. 318i (1990-1993 used 1796cc 4cyl SOHC 8V 111hp / 162Nm, M40B18 engine code. Fuel consumption 1:10. 318i between 1994-1998 used 1796cc 4cyl SOHC 8V engines 113hp / 168Nm, M43B18 engine code. Fuel consumption 1:10, 5 ) b. 320i (between 1991-1994 using the 1994cc 6cyl DOHC 24V 148hp / 190Nm engine, M50B20 engine code. Fuel consumption 1: 9. 320i between 1995-1998 using the 1994cc 6cyl DOHC 24V 148hp / 190Nm engine, the M52B20 engine code. For the United States, the BMW E36 is 318i, 325i and M3 in the form of Sedans, Coupes and Convertibles. 325i was later replaced by 328i.

Fourth Generation: E46 (1998-2005)

As usual, the 3 Series BMW is made of various body shapes and choices of gasoline and diesel engines. Uniquely 316i now uses a 1.8 liter engine instead of 1.6 liters. Similarly, the 318i became 2.0 liters, and a 323i 2.5 liters. In addition there are also 328i, 330i, and M3. The engine used M3 with a capacity of 3.2 liters, while the M3 GTR is 4.0 liters. The available diesel engines are 2.0 liters for 318d, 318td, 320d and 3.0 liters for 330d.

98,000 vehicles were sold in 2005 in the United States.

Fifth Generation: E90 (2005-2011)

BMW 335iX Sedan E90
The Sedan BMW 3 Series uses the E90 platform, the Station wagon or Touring is coded E91, E92 Coupe and E93 Convertible.

The gasoline engines used are 1.6-liter, 1.8-liter, 2.0-liter, 2.5-liter, 3.0-liter turbo, 4.0-liter and 4.4-liter V8. 2.0 liter and 3.0 liter diesel engines are also available. The M3 is powered by a 4.0 liter engine, and the M3 GTS with 4.4 liters is very powerful.

For the United States market, the available BMW 3 Series are 328i, 328i xDrive, 335i, 335i XDrive, and 335d.
