Nascent Iodine

Nascent Iodine Description

Most people are extremely deficient in iodine and with the uncertainty of the impacts of the Fukushima fallout it is wise for everyone to consider iodine supplementation. When iodine combines with certain amino acids it supports apoptosis which is essential when battling cancer. Nascent iodine is the best iodine for maximum utilization and uptake into the thyroid gland. This form also has strong anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-germ properties.

How Nascent Iodine WorksNascent Iodine

Unlike most forms of consumable iodine, nascent iodine works to naturally balance the thyroid to a state of homeostasis. Studies are examining its potential to positively regulate thyroid hormone production. If there is a clear connection, taking nascent iodine may lead to increased energy levels and a streamlining of the body’s natural detoxification processes. Biochemically, nascent iodine is the most readily absorbed and usable form of iodine supplementation for the human body. (source:

    1. Great comment, yes you can use high ISO on the 60d. But for my purposes, and experience in post, I find that the lower you go with the ISO the better, because of how the comrepssion works. I don’t like noise, so I have Magic Lantern running on my 60d, which allows me to increase the bit rate, which means I can do a lot more with what I shot in post production. If you shothigh ISO it can get noisy in post. In a perfect world I would always shot 100 ISO, but you can go much higher than this with the 60d. Thanks
